FLU CAMPAIGN 2026/27
 
Who is eligible to have a free flu vaccine at the surgery from the 1st October onwards?
  • those aged 65 years and over (includes those turning 65 by 31/03/27)
  • those aged 6 months to 64 years in clinical risk groups, e.g. asthma (requiring regular inhaled steroids), COPD, chronic heart or vascular disease, chronic kidney disease (stages 3, 4 or 5), chronic liver disease, chronic neurological disease (e.g. Parkinson’s disease or motor neurone disease), diabetes or adrenal insufficiency, immunosuppression (e.g. HIV/AIDS or cancer treatment), epilepsy, and asplenia or dysfunction of the spleen.
  • Morbidly obese adults with a BMI of 40 or above aged 16 or over
  • Pregnant women
  • Severe mental illness
  • People living in care homes or other long-stay care facilities
  • Homeless
  • People with a learning disability
  • Household contacts of immunocompromised individuals
  • Unpaid carers of a person whose health or welfare may be at risk if the carer falls ill (the carer does not need to live with, or be related to, the person)
  • All 2 and 3 year olds on 31st August 2026 (DOB on or after 01/09/2022 and on or before 31/08/2024).
